Beacon Hill Legal is partnering with a respected Chicago firm that is actively seeking a junior-level Bankruptcy Associate (3+ years' of experience practicing primarily in bankruptcy law).

Highlights:

• Hands-on experience in Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 cases , as well as out-of-court restructurings.

• Preferred background includes healthcare-related bankruptcy matters and/or representing insurers in bankruptcy-related matters.

• Opportunity to work with a diverse client base, including Chapter 7 Trustees, court-appointed receivers, institutional creditors, lenders, insurance companies, and distressed asset purchasers.

• Routine matters include:

  • Representing creditors in Chapter 11 cases nationwide.

  • Serving as national bankruptcy counsel for one of the largest health insurance companies.

  • Representing lenders in restructurings, foreclosure actions, and UCC sales.

  • Representing purchasers of distressed assets (e.g., §363 sales).

  • Defending avoidance actions.

  • Assisting Chapter 7 Trustees in all aspects of Chapter 7 cases.
