Job Description
Job Purpose:
The purpose of the Executive Chef is to prepare nutritious, fresh, flavorful, elevated, meals from scratch while paying attention to an active, food-adventurous family's dietary preferences and allergy requirements.
Responsibilities:
· Bring a wealth of culinary knowledge and experience to the family, constantly intriguing their adventurous pallets while adhering to individual family members' preferences and allergy requirements.
· Actively source the freshest high quality ingredients to ensure all food is as organic and traceable as possible.
· Educate the family on the benefits of different ingredients and how they relate to their healthy lifestyle.
· Be mindful of how meals affect the activity level of the individual family member’s workout activities.
· Plan and execute exciting and creative five-star dinner parties and events for high-level executives and VIP’s.
· Work seamlessly with the principals, estate manager, and household staff while maintaining a calm demeanor in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
· Maintain a clean and organized kitchen essential to ensure food safety.
· Manage kitchen supplies including food, utensils, equipment, and cleaning products.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
· Must have longevity as a private chef on a yacht or an estate, or hotel.
· Integrity, attention to detail, creativity, and top-notch culinary skills are critical to this role.
· Must have ability to create unique food experiences while representing various worldly cuisines including wild game and fresh seafood.
· Must have experience planning and executing high-end, luxury dinner events.
· Must have experience working with strict dietary requirements and allergies, including gluten and dairy-free.
· Tech skills in Apple products, Mac, MS Excel, MS word, and Outlook.
· Emotional maturity and utmost professionalism and discretion.
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to remain flexible and agile in a constantly changing environment.
· Must be a highly resourceful and adaptable team player, with the ability to be extremely effective independently and execute tasks through completion.
· Proactive problem-solver who anticipates changing needs to minimize potential issues.
Working Conditions:
· The ideal person will live locally in Boca Raton, FL or be open to relocation.
· Must be open to travel with the client to domestic and international locations.
· The position is full-time, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends when necessary.
Compensation Package:
· Salary DOE, Health Insurance offered, Two weeks PTO a year.Private Chef
Duties:
- Prepare and cook meals for clients in their private residences
- Create customized menus based on clients' dietary preferences and restrictions
- Shop for high-quality ingredients and ensure proper storage and handling
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
- Coordinate with household staff to ensure smooth meal service
- Provide exceptional culinary experiences for clients, including special events and dinner parties
- Stay up-to-date with culinary trends and techniques to continually enhance the dining experience
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Private Chef or similar role
- Strong knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques
- Ability to create unique and innovative dishes
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to accommodate clients' schedules, including evenings and weekends
