Human Resources Specialist II: Serves in a trainee capacity, receiving formal and on-the-job training in work processes, precedent situations, working relationships with other functions/agencies, regulations, contracts and reference materials of increasing complexity and integration with other functional areas of human resources management; performs a variety of basic and routine assignments consistent with training status; and performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualification Requirements To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements: Legal Authorization To Work The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States. Basic Education/Experience: Graduation from a regionally accredited four (4) year college or university with a bachelor's degree for Human Resources Specialist I and II. The education or experience background must also demonstrate the ability to write clear and comprehensive reports and other documents; read and interpret complex written material; and solve complex problems logically and systematically. Specialized Experience: For Human Resources Specialist II only , six months of professional work experience in one or any combination of human resources management functions; i.e., recruitment, placement, examination, position classification, pay or wage administration, employee management relations and services, employee development, human resources program development and services, labor relations, and human resources research. Driver's License : Some positions require possession of a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
