Private Chef Position – Newport Beach, CA

Elite Private Chefs is seeking an experienced, highly skilled, and discreet Private Chef to serve an elite UHNW family. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to oversee all aspects of the family's culinary needs in an exclusive, high-end setting. As the Private Chef, you will be expected to create exceptional, personalized meals that cater to the client's tastes, dietary preferences, and health needs. Discretion, professionalism, and a genuine passion for anticipating and fulfilling individual preferences are essential for success in this role.

Location: Newport Beach, CA. Private Residence
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, Dinner Service Only (to be served 5:30–6:00 PM) + Grab-and-Go Snack Prep
Compensation: Highly Competitive

Dietary Philosophy:
The family follows a health-conscious approach to eating, prioritizing fresh, high-quality ingredients, balanced meals, and minimal processed foods.

The family follows TKM diet (Traditional Korean Medicine) (8 body types). They enjoy wholesome, flavorful cuisine with an emphasis on Mediterranean, Mexican, Greek, Italian, healthy Asian (Chinese, Japanese, Hibachi), and fresh seafood. Desserts should incorporate low-sugar or natural sugar alternatives where possible. Snacks should be readily available for the family throughout the day, prepared in single-serve or grab-and-go formats. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve dinner only , 4 days per week (Mon–Thurs), family style at 5:30–6:00 PM.
  
• Family of 5-children 13 & 11 & 7 yr, plus In-Law parents occasionally
• Family follows TKM diet (Traditional Korean Medicine) (8 body types)
• Husband, Daughter and Son Follow Hepatonia
• Wife and Middle daughter follow Pulmotonia
  • Therefore, each meal will need to satisfy both categories/diet plans.
• Prepare grab-and-go snacks for daytime availability.
  
• Develop menus reflecting the family's preference for fresh, healthy cuisine:
  
• Build a warm, friendly rapport with the family while maintaining professionalism.
  
• Shop for fresh ingredients, manage grocery budgets, and coordinate reimbursements.
  
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen; no additional kitchen staff provided.
  
• Travel with the family approximately two months per year (June–August and select holidays); may also be required to cook for family members staying home.
  
• Adapt to changing schedules and occasional special events.
  
• Low-sugar recipes using natural sweeteners.
  
• Balanced meals with lean proteins, fresh produce, and whole grains.
  
• Cuisine variety: Mexican, Greek, Mediterranean, Italian, healthy Chinese, Japanese/Sushi/Hibachi

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a private chef, ideally for high-profile or UHNW households or in high-end restaurant/luxury settings
• Friendly, team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills
  
• Impeccable cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail
  
• Flexible and proactive, able to adapt to changing household schedules and needs
  
• Must demonstrate a high level of discretion and commitment to client privacy
  
• Ability to create a variety of dishes—from comforting daily fare to elegant, refined cuisine
  
• Maintain a spotless, well-organized kitchen and uphold top-tier food safety and hygiene standards
  
• Source fresh, seasonal, and premium ingredients; manage inventory and supplier relationships
  
• Accommodate dietary restrictions and wellness-focused meal planning (e.g., gluten-free, vegan, keto)
  
• Occasionally assist with private events, dinner parties, or special gatherings
  
• May collaborate with an existing chef to plan and prepare high-quality, personalized meals tailored to household preferences and dietary needs
