Rath Tutoring is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Test Prep & STEM Tutor to support high school students preparing for the SAT, ACT, and AP-level coursework in STEM subjects through one-on-one virtual sessions.Note: Applicants must be willing to complete a shortened standardized test (all sections) and deliver sample lessons as part of the interview process.About Rath TutoringRath Tutoring is a boutique educational services firm specializing in test preparation, academic mentorship, and personalized tutoring. Our tutors enjoy:Autonomy to teach in their own styleA supportive system that handles administrative work for themThe opportunity to focus fully on student successRole: Test Prep & STEM TutorAs a Test Prep Tutor, youll work with high school students to strengthen test-taking strategies, academic confidence, and mastery of challenging concepts. Most of our students come to us for SAT/ACT prep, and many also require help with AP-level math and science.What Youll Do:Design and deliver individualized lesson plans for SAT, ACT, and AP STEM subjectsDiagnose student challenges and adapt instruction to different learning stylesTeach problem-solving strategies and test-taking techniques effectivelyMaintain detailed session notes including progress updates, topics covered, and assigned homeworkProvide feedback on student engagement and performanceCollaborate with Rath Tutorings team and make use of our online toolsQualificationsBachelors degree in math, science, education, or related field (advanced degree a plus)Strong experience delivering engaging one-on-one tutoring (online preferred)At least 5 years or 5,000 hours of teaching/tutoring experience strongly preferredExpertise in SAT and ACT preparation.Experience with GRE, GMAT, LSAT, MCAT, and DAT is a plus.Ability to teach at least one AP/college-level STEM subject (e.g., Calculus, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsDependable, self-motivated, and adaptable to schedule changesProficiency with Zoom, online whiteboards, and cloud-based platformsPreferred Availability (based on your time zone):At least 8 weekend hours (Sat 10am4pm, Sun 10am6pm)Consistent weekday availability MonThurs afternoons/evenings (Typically between 12pm - 8pm)Compensation & Perks100% remote work from anywhereFlexible scheduling with autonomy over your calendarRath Tutoring is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
