  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in a transportation or logistics company.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and accurately document incoming shipments to verify contents and condition.
  • Organize and store products in designated locations to maximize space utilization and accessibility.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to company standards and customer requirements.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the warehouse environment by following established protocols.
  • Assist in inventory counts and report discrepancies to supervisors for resolution.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve warehouse processes and meet operational goals.
  • Support training and mentoring of new or less experienced warehouse staff as needed.

Skills:

The required skills enable the Warehouse Worker II to efficiently handle daily warehouse operations such as receiving, storing, and shipping goods while maintaining accuracy and safety. Physical stamina and equipment operation skills are essential for managing heavy loads and operating machinery safely. Basic literacy and numeracy skills support accurate documentation and inventory management, ensuring data integrity. Preferred skills like familiarity with warehouse management systems enhance productivity by streamlining inventory tracking and order processing. Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail help in maintaining an orderly warehouse environment and contribute to continuous process improvements.
