Industrial Engineering Manager

📍 Riverside County, CA | On-site

💵 $140,000 – $175,000/year BASE

About the Role

My client is seeking a hands-on Industrial Engineering Manager to drive process improvement, facility optimization, and throughput across both custom and standardized product lines. This leadership role blends Lean Six Sigma strategy with boots-on-the-ground execution and will be instrumental in shaping the future of our manufacturing operations.

Key Focus Areas

Lean & Continuous Improvement

• Lead Lean Six Sigma initiatives to improve throughput, labor efficiency, and flow
• Conduct value stream mapping and RCCA investigations
• Implement visual management systems and Gemba walk culture

Manufacturing Optimization

• Increase productivity across both high-mix/low-flow (custom) and low-mix/high-flow (standardized) lines
• Reduce labor hours and drive data-informed workflow improvements

Facility Layout & Capacity Planning

• Redesign plant layout to support production scalability
• Collaborate on infrastructure-related capital investment projects
• Ensure optimal use of space, safety, and workflow

Facilities & Maintenance Oversight

• Lead plant maintenance and preventive maintenance initiatives
• Oversee EHS compliance, utilities, and infrastructure upgrades

Cross-functional Leadership

• Partner with senior leadership to align production strategy with growth plans
• Champion operational excellence across departments

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering or related field
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified
• 5+ years in high-mix manufacturing environments
• Proven experience in layout design, facility management, and continuous improvement
• Strong command of RCCA, Gemba, and visual management
• Comfortable being on the floor and leading from the front

Bonus Points

• Background in automotive or transportation manufacturing
